Vienna University
Philharmonic

The University of Vienna Philharmonic consists of more than 900 musicians and singers who play in two orchestras and eight choirs, making it one of the largest music communities worldwide. Our repertoire consists mainly of classical music, but pop, world music and musicals are also performed. This year we are celebrating 30 years of our foundation and will perform Gustav Mahler's 8th Symphony. We are looking for ambitious singers and musicians with previous knowledge who want to participate in this unique musical experience with us.

The ensembles are divided into different levels and the literature performed depends on the ability of the musicians, so an audition is necessary. For those who want to refresh their previous knowledge, there is a choir course where ear and rhythm training and sight reading are taught.

Every year 40-50 concerts are given at home and abroad and about 20,000 listeners are reached. Exciting international projects, which contribute to the personal development of younger generations in particular, have been carried out in over 30 countries worldwide.
